ArtMento Account Deletion & Data Rights

Effective Date: March 2026

ArtMento respects your right to control your personal data. This page explains how you can delete your account, manage your data, and understand how your information is handled.

1. Deleting Your ArtMento Account

You may request deletion of your ArtMento account at any time. Deleting your account will remove your access to the platform and initiate deletion of associated personal data. Active subscriptions should be cancelled before account deletion.

Option 1 — Delete Within the App

You may delete your account by navigating to:

Profile → Settings → Account → Delete Account

Follow the instructions provided to confirm the deletion request.

Option 2 — Request Deletion by Email

If you cannot access your account, you may request deletion by contacting:

admin@artmento.app

Please include:

• the email address associated with your account
• a request to delete your account

We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.

2. What Happens When Your Account Is Deleted

When you delete your account: The following data will be removed or anonymized:

• account profile information
• saved artwork and uploaded images
• saved reference images
• exercise history
• AI mentor conversation history
• personal libraries and saved critiques

You will no longer be able to access your account or recover this data.

3. Content Previously Shared in the Community

If you have posted artwork or comments in the ArtMento community:

• posts may be removed when possible
• in some cases, content may be anonymized if removal would disrupt community discussions

For example: Your username may be replaced with "Deleted User."

4. Data Retention for Legal and Security Purposes

Certain information may be retained for a limited period if necessary to:

• comply with legal obligations
• resolve disputes
• enforce platform policies
• detect fraud or abuse

Such retained information will not be used for other purposes.

5. Your Data Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• access the personal information we hold about you
• request correction of inaccurate information
• request deletion of personal data
• request a copy of your data

We will respond within a reasonable timeframe as required by applicable laws.

6. AI Interactions and Generated Content

ArtMento may store interactions such as:

• prompts used to generate reference images
• questions submitted to the AI mentor
• AI-generated exercises or critiques

This information helps improve the platform's functionality. Where possible, such information may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for system improvement.

7. Third-Party Services

ArtMento may use trusted third-party service providers to host or process data. When you request account deletion, we will also request deletion of your personal data stored by these providers where applicable.

8. Processing Time

Account deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days. In some cases, additional time may be required to fully remove data from backup systems.
